A LITTLE ABOUT THE SOUND

What is pink noise?

Pink noise is a continuous sound with equal energy in each octave. Its power decreases as frequency increases, producing a warmer, softer wash of sound than white noise, a little like steady rainfall.

Make the sound your own

Turn Brightness down for a softer sound or up for more high-frequency detail. Turn Depth down for a lighter sound or up for more bass. Keep both at 50% for the original pink noise. Your volume, brightness, and depth settings are remembered for your next visit.

Pink noise vs. white noise

White noise has equal power per unit of frequency. Pink noise has equal power per octave, so it places less emphasis on high frequencies and sounds deeper and less hissy.

Continuous sound, without loops
